Brian Jackson, Evolve Media’s Creative Director, recently spoke and was a jurist at Quorum 2006 in Mexico City. Brian was honored to have been able to speak and present with renowned designer, James Cross and illustrator, Maria Rendon a Mexico City native. Besides the conference, the three designers spent a bit of time exploring Mexican ruins, sampling the local cusine and engaging in design related discussions.

Great article on the importance of whitespace in user interface design, as a designer, I know how important whitespace can be, but sometimes the actual developers or programmers may not share the same opinion as myself. Whitespace isn’t always considered a design element, while it is used to balance a layout or aid in readability of a partiular design solution, its usually a more of an invisible aspect. Though not as obvious as a button or entry point to another location, its importance does not diminish. Read the full article here. via daringfireball.net
